Re: 4th KY Cav. George & Thomas FORSEE

Hello,

I was checking postings and I happen to have a lot of information on George N. Forsee and on Thomas Forsee that were in the 4th Ky Cal. George is buried in Springdale Cem in Clinton, Iowa and yes Thomas is buried At the Arsenal.

Another re-enactor and I have been researching for who "owns" a confederate flag holder that we found in Oakland Cem, Lyons(Clinton) Iowa that the historical society had taken from one grave and had placed it on a Bunker Bell's grave.

George has a confederate head stone and is buried next to his wife Sally(who needs a new stone). Sally died in Galesburg, Ill and was living with her daughter's family. She died just a few days after the Census was taken!

Terry has sent in the paper work to get a flag holder for George and is waiting for confermation. We are planning on having a ceremony for George when/if it comes. The Commander said on Memorial Day....at the Rock Island Arsenal confederate cemetery....where we had a Memorial service for all those who have past......that if he had known George was in Clinton he would have had an extra service for George.

Also a William B. Forsee started the local Clinton chapter of AMVETS.

I have to go to work now but should you like more information on George or Thomas, Please contact me.
