info i have read says Lieut. John Duke and Sgt. Major Charlton Duke were captured and finally recognized as Confederate Soldiers, they apparently served under Adam Rankin Johnson and were in Chenoweths Regt. Capt Lindsey Duke Buckner possibly their relative was executed October 1864. near Jeffersontown Ky outside Louisville Ky, his body was claimed and moved to Green County Ky
