Hoping someone can help me with any military info...battles fought, etc, of Benj. L. Vance, who enlisted
09 Jan. 1861, in KY. He was the son of Robt. G. and Harriet Hobbs VANCE, of Jefferson Co. KY.
He may have initially entered the Union, as did his older bro. Robt. G., but a roster shows a notation "Now in the Rebel Army".
He died at the Confederate Veteran's Home in Austin, Travis Co. TX, 14 May 1923, at 83 yrs of age. He is bur. in Como Cem.
in Hopkins Co. TX. I'm trying to get him a CSA military marker. Any help is appreciated with his records.
