Thanks, for your reply. I have received Pvt. B.L. Vance's pension he was awarded for his CSA service and it shows he had 3 yrs and 9 months--Co. E, 1st KY Cav. I will also obtain the microfilm from the Family History Center near me for his other records. He was also admitted to the Confederate Soldier's Home, Austin, TX, which probably required proof of his service, and there are records in archives from there. I'm awaiting on reply from VA, as I may have enough already.
