Willis Green Gevedon was born March 26, 1839 in Grassy Creek, Morgan County Kentucky. He was the son of Benjamin Gevedon and Mary Ann Leach.
Green Gevedon was in the 5th Ky Mounted Infantry along with his older brother William Leach Gevedon and younger brother Jospeh T. Gevedon.
