The other 12th Ky. vet. you are referring to was Alexander Jones of Co. H
I don't know if they knew one another but it seems likely. Unfortunately
Alex Jones died before Finis Simmons applied for his pension.
Incidentally Alex Jones was the gggrandfather of my cousin Paul Jones.

When you are able to get to Izard county, if you would like to visit
their grave sites, I would enjoy meeting you, and taking you to visit both
cemeteries.

I do have a photo of Finis made about 1912-1915. I'll get Paul's son,
our resident computer "geek" to help me get it uploaded
