This is just a hunch so take it for what it is worth. There are some men with the first initial "P" named "Bethea" in some Arkansas units. I also think his place of enlistment points to the possibilty he joined a Arkansas regiment. I believe you should post this query on the Arkansas board and see what happens. Here is the link...
