Re: hospitals, cemeteries in LA in 1863

Ms. Barbara,
You may want to post this on the Arkansas Message board as Mr. Kenneth Byrd is more apt to see this there. He has a great deal of information on the 11th/17th Ark., and a decendant of Col. Logan.
I'm trying to figure out where "near Mrs. Nuttenell's, Bayou Sara Road." is, as the Bayou Sara Road ran from Liberty, Miss., towards Clinton, then thru Jackson, LA, and on to Bayou Sara, (long gone, it was "under the hill" to St. Francisville, LA) Will keep digging thru my stuff to see if I can pinpoint a location
If I can catch up with him, (he is probably working somewhere as a volunteer for hurricane cleanup)Mr. Dewey DeLee in Clinton, LA has been working on a list of the members of the Clinton Confederate Cemetery. Silliman School in Clinton was a large hospital, and the cemetery is located behind the football field. (Shamefully covered, but that is another story)
