I am webb researching the Battles of Mansfield and Pleasant Hill in April of 1864. Henry Gray's (Mouton's) brigade included the 18th & 28th Louisiana regiments, Crescent (La) regiment and Beard's & Fournet's Louisiana battalions. I would like to know the commanders of both Beard's & Fournet's Louisiana Bn? Is the Pelican (La) Bn the same as either Beard's or Fournet's? Thank You.
