You should try to find an issue of "Civil War Regiments" that contains my article "A Colonel Gains His Wreath: Henry Gray's Louisiana Brigade at the Battle of Mansfield, April 8, 1864." Look for Volume 4, No. 2 (1994).

Gray's Brigade at Mansfield consisted of the 18th Louisiana Consolidated Infantry Regiment, Colonel Leopold L. Armant; 28th Louisiana Infantry Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel William Walker; and Consolidated Crescent Regiment, Colonel James H. Beard. The 18th Louisiana Consolidated included men who had formerly served in the 10th Louisiana (Yellow Jackets) Infantry Battalion. The Consolidated Crescent included men who had served in the 11th Louisiana (Beards') Infantry Battalion and the 12th Louisiana (Confederate Guards Response) Infantry Battalion.

There was no Pelican Battalion. You may mean the Pelican Louisiana Battery, also known as the 5th Louisiana Battery and Faries' Battery.
