Re: 14th Louisiana Cavalry Regiment

I am looking for information about Charles Joseph Dufrocq, a member of Ogden's Cavalry (apparently the 14th). His father was John R. Dufrocq, for many years the mayor of Baton Rouge. Late in life C. J. Dufrocq kept a small school in Natchitoches Parish. He died in 1907 at Provencal, LA, the victim of a snow storm. In the 1870s, "Captain" Dufrocq may have taken part in the White League's activities in New Orleans, again under the leadership of Gen. Frederick Nash Ogden.
