Thanks. I do know that Magee's Co. B lost one man killed and 21 , including Magee, by disease trying to build a canal somewhere in La. I have contacted NARA for his records including a pension from his widow, but that will take some time, unfortunately. Magee must have been in a hospital and I will try to find out where. You have been most helpful.
