I will be at the grand opening tomorrow morning, and will be able to talk to some of the senior people from State Parks and the museum service that designed the displays. What with it being the big day for the site, I may not be able to ask the questions I'd really like to. But just to give you an idea of what we're dealing with - one display shows the contents of a typical soldier's kit. There is a box of shaving soap in the display. The box has a www-dot-com address on it. Another "Confederate sword" has a Phillips-head screw prominently showing on the scabbard. Get the picture? And don't even get me started on the factual and typographical errors on the display panels.
