Re: POW Exchange - Red River, La

If you're going to be going by Red River Landing, don't miss St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and graveyard in nearby Williamsport (just outside of Innis). The church was consecrated by Bishop Leonidas Polk, and there's a Confederate monument and lots of veterans' graves in the graveyard. You can also visit the graves of Dr. Tichenor's children, who apparently died during the 1873 yellow fever epidemic. Besides, it's just the neatest old cemetery and church you've ever seen. And there's also some of the Fort Humbug earthworks at Simmesport, on the way from DeRussy to Red River Landing.
