How do I know William A. Taylor was at Blair's Landing? I have newspaper evidence such as The Weekly Gazette which I might have found using Chronicling America. I also recall several people sharing with me articles found in either or both the Galveston and Houston newspapers that have the same information as The Weekly Gazette. My research is boxed, and I am enduring a construction project that is not ending so I cannot get my hands on some documents.

Was Pittsville, Texas, the area that is today between Brookshire and Fulshear? It had that name, but I wasn't sure it was the same place as the location in the regimental record.
