I have your book and next time I am in NO I plan to look through the papers of the Louisiana Historical Association at Tulane Archives and those at LSU in BR. I also found the two references in the Confederate Veteran you listed in the regiment's biblography. I am unfamilar with your book "Reminiscences of Uncle Silas" on the 18th Regiment-- didn't the 18th and the Crescents both serve in Pond's division at Shiloh? Any mention of the Crescents in that book? If there's anything else you can think of, please let us know!
