I have updated info since the original posting. My Lewis family came out to Missouri with the Reed party in about 1800. There are some specific data mentioned in the Missouri Methodist Confrence histories, of which I have copies. I also have been to Bellevue and gone through the land recotrds. I found the original plat of the Lewis farm and have secured a copy of the confirmation and grant after the Lousiana Purchase. I have been to the old farmstead. Both my Lewis, which would be Samuel Henry Lewis, and his brother, Peter Hanger Lewis, left MO after the civil war and settled near Magnolia, Arkansas. Gravesites are known for both. The Lewis who originally came to MO was John Lewis, whose son was John W.(Westley?) Lewis, and his sons by Hannah Hanger were my Samuel Henry Lewis and Peter Hanger Lewis, and other children. Hanah was John W. Lewis's second wife. I really appreciate the reply. Is there more information? I have a photo of Hannah Hanger Lewis's gravesite, but have been unable to find either John or John W.'s final resting place.
