GGG-UNCLE FROM FULTON CO. AR IN FREEMAN'S CAVALRY

Hi Joe -

no problem; am ~85% certain that the Pvt. John W. Bailey listed in Freeman's Cavalry is probably my ggg-uncle from the Pilot Hill/Salem area of Fulton Co. AR listed in the 1860 census with his brother, father, and Simmons in-laws. They all lived just South of the MO border, in the area of present-day Moko, Fulton Co. AR.

I have his CSR docs, but now need to get docs from the Rock Island POW camp which hopefully (!!?!?) give me some hard POB/home address/age information to make DDS (double damn sure) though....

Ed Grooms lists the following info on his website:

Bailey, John W. - -- - Pvt. - Izard Co. Ark. Captured January 30, 1864 in Izard Co. Ark. Sent to Rock Island, Ill. Miltiary Prison.

y.o.s,

Ken Byrd
