Ken: The 2nd MO Cav Regt was operating in Mississippi and Tennessee at the time of the battle of Springfield. So if he was still with his regiment, he wouldn't have been that far west, unless he happened to be recruiting and got caught up in Marmaduke's Raid.

I have not seen his CSR, so I don't know if he stayed with the regiment or not.

His name does not appear on the casualty list of Marmaduke's Raid of the killed and wounded on the raid.
