Hi Terry -

thanks for your posting; the names in Greene's 3rd Missouri Cavalry I am interested in are:

Alfred L. Simmons (my gg-gf)
James J. Simmons (my ggg-uncle)

They were both in Co. K and enlisted under Captain Sapp in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

It also appears that James J. Simmons was also in Fristoe's Missouri Cavalry along with another brother, Dr. Peter Owen Simmons, and one of his Bailey brother-in-laws.

None of my Byrd ancestors were in Greene's 3rd Missouri Cavalry.
