Thank you Kip...your information is appreciated and does help me, I was unsure of what Foundry in Lexington was used for this. Also, if my sources are correct, it appears Old Sacramento was in Lexington at the beginning of the war...used for 4th of July celebrations and such. I have also read that the widening out of the bore of Old Sac did not go all the way down the tube to the breach, which left a pocket at the end which was the size of the 6 pounder. This caused a dangerous situation when loading and firing, and could have "busted the breach". It seems to be because of this reason Old Sac was abandoned in Memphis sometime in 1862. It also seems that Old Sac was made of bells by the Mexicans and there is claims that the cannon had a distinct ringing when fired.

I wounder if the foundry used Old Sac to model the tubes for the other two 6 pounders?
I am assuming that maybe these two 6 pounders were abandoned in Memphis as well?

I would appreciate any other information regarding Bedsoe's or Guibor's batteries at the beginning of the war any one may have.

Or any additional information you might have Kip,

Thank you again
