Thanks Bruce, let me tell you where this is going or has been. George P. Allen served in the 15th Mo. Cav., CSA until mid 1863, POW & paroled to his home I believe. He was from Jamesport, Davies County. The same county where the EMM trapped and killed Bill Anderson near present day Orrick. We have genology of the family and do believe this is the Grandfather of Phog Allen, Kansas Jayhawk basketball coach. We are searching for his grave site and want to make sure of his complete record. If healthy he could have been forced or volunteered for the EMM.........trying to dig as deep as we can.............want this right..........Thanks Neil
