Family moved to Mo 1854 and settled in Daviess Co.
George joined the State Guard in 1861 and was captured in December of 1861 in Jackson Co. Mo.
Remained a prisoner until March 1862
After he was released he took the family and moved to St. Joseph Mo. and resided there until the end of the war, then moved back to Daviess Co.
No mention of any other military service
