Kerr ~brothers~

There is a John Kerr appearing on Warren Welch's list of Quantrill members. Living in 1911.
-and-
There is a William Kerr listed on same list. Per William's Service Card, he enlisted September 01, 1862 at Jackson County, Missouri. A member of Company D 5th Mo Cav. -Rank Pvt.- Captain Haller & Col Young.-
The 3rd Kerr on the list is Nathan B. Kerr. (Which requires no explanation.)
I have ~these~ 3 listed in my database as being brothers. I do not have a Service Card for John Kerr. I can't seem to prove William and John as being the same people that rode with Quantrill but circumstantial evidence places them right in the middle of everything and everyone.
Can anyone advise as to how I might resolve this situation (without spending a bunch of cash that I don't have)? [I'm on some very expensive Chemo.]
