Jay, yes I most certainly do recall you, while I do not recall exactly how you connect with Cathy. While I am aware that a William Kerr was allegedly killed, I am also aware that Boone Muir was allegedly killed and buried in the Smith-Davis Cemetery… Boone Muir turned out to be Boone Scholl. Boone Muir died May 07, 1916 and was buried at the Belton Cemetery, Belton, Cass County, Missouri.
There is a Service Card for a William A. Kerr that enlisted September 1, 1862 at Jackson Co., MO. Paroled at Shreveport, LA June 14, 1865. Co.“A” 10th MO Vol. Cal. Company latter became Co. “D” 5th Mo. Cal. Served under Capt. Haller and Col. Young.
Both (our)William A. Kerr and John Kerr married Rucker sisters. Another Rucker sister married Ike Basham and of course Nathan married John McCorkle and Job McCorkle’s sister.
I’ll look into the Caleb and Edith Kerr family when I can. Thanks for your input! If you wish, you may email me at voodoo@wdemail.com
My treatments are done. I’ll have a two month scan coming up on Tuesday… I don’t want to do that again! I’m temporarily staying with my eldest brother whom just had a knee replaced. I’m not sure how long I’ll be here… ~Don
