What is not clear to me is what office the appointment is for? I suspect it was a Cass County appointment but can't say for sure given what you have given us. I'd suggest perhaps the Cass Co Historical Society might be a good place or the Missouri State Historical Society would likely give it a home and perhape digitize it.

Don't let it go to waste and disappear though.
