In Response To: Howard Co. POW's ()

Both are listed by JF Benjamin, Provost Marshall in the 8th Congressional District draft record vol 1 of 1. There is not a page number per se, The book is tabbed alphabetically and the names listed alphabetically by county and township. Scotten is listed as 35 years old Farmer in Boonslick Twsp and Sartin as 43 of Franklin Twsp. No prior military service is recorded for either. Draft list was made as of July 1 1863. (Consolidated Lists of Civil War Draft Registrations, 1863-1865. NM-65, entry 172, 620 volumes. Records of the Provost Marshal General’s Bureau (Civil War), Record Group 110. National Archives, Washington D.C.)

Marriage to Ms Susan Ford Howard county July 16 1846 is also found leading to several census listings for her and children.

As you alluded to JB cemetery has him listed as:
John S Scotten

I've a couple of other areas to search yet. FWIW
