New Info Steamer "Pitcairn" Mar 65

Forum,

I found a mention in the "Official Records" (series 1, vol. 48, part 1, p. 1264) about a small group of southern guerrillas who extorted liquor from the steamer "Pitcairn" they found at the town dock of Waverly in NE Lafayette County on 24 March 1865. I couldn't find any mention of the "Pitcairn" in Frederick Way, Jr.'s "Way's Packet Dircetory, 1848-1994," so I wonder if the "Pitcairn" is something smaller than a full-fledged riverboat for passenger use, like perhaps an auxilliary. My next source to search would normally be Gibson and Gibson's 1995 "The Army's Navy Series: Dictionary of Transports and Combatant Vessels Steam and Sail Employed by the Union Army, 1861-1868," but the library I go for that is under reconstruction for a few months. Can anybody give me any detail about the "Pitcairn"? I will need references I can cite, too, please. Thanks.
