i do have to comment on how silly it was to have union soldiers traveling through hostile parts of missouri completely unarmed.. no escort.. no sidearms?? how silly.. anderson will have been a "murderer".. but he pales in comparison what the red legs and militia did to citizens.. i am always amazed what the union officials even in missouri allowed the kansas redlegs to do..
