George I had no idea Widipedia covered such things, else I could have made my lazy butt find the answers. Thanks. However, I have a follow up. According to the OR showing location of military formations in the fall of 1864, Vol XLI, Pt II or I, pg. 982 shows Co. A, 3rd Wisconsin stationed at Ft. Curtis, Mo. According to your information Fort Hovey (Fort Curtis) was built south of Ironton, Mo. This Fort I know and it couldn't be the same fort as the 3rd Wisconsin did not operate in that area of Missouri. Thus we have another Fort Curtis or not (?). Again thanks for the info.
