I am not aware of a print version of the Benedict work on Ritchie though it likely exsists somewhere.

Ted Yeatman in his work "Frank and Jesse James, The Story behind the legend" in his notes to page 72-76 in particular on page 396 note 32.

"See Patrick Brophy's letter and map sent to Ted Yeatman Oct 31, 1994, concerning 3rd Wisconsin posts in Vernon County....New Company F (the same as old Company F) was stationed at Fort Insley probably at Douglas Ford on the Marmiton River northeast of the present community of Deerfield. New Company H ( Old Company C) was at Fort McKean, Kansas right along the state line on the West Fork Drywood Creek. New Company I (Old Company D) was at Fort Hamer probably at Lambert Ford of Drywood Creek due north of where creek crosses the present County Route HH. New Company K was at Fort Curtis at the site of old Balltown in 1865, southest of the present community of Metz...."
