I guess I am getting too old for this new math and can't get the numbers to crunch. A couple of years ago, Kirby Ross, I think, quoted a federal Major as stating 87 bodies were buried at Centrakia, 17 at Sturgeon, and 34 in a trench at the old cemetery in Mexico, total 138. Another report states that Major Johnston fell in on the rebel trail with 145 mounted riders. Now, with the 24? killed in Centralia we should have 169, less the lucky few who escaped. I'm gonna back out and let the younger brains take over. Hope this is worth a chuckle!
