Thank you for that. My grandfather, who was 5 when William died, remembers him. He said he grew a beard to cover up something on his face.

I knew about the 80 acres registered at Ironton, that was actually land in Howell County-I don't understand why the land office was in Ironton, MO. I did not know about the 155 acres in 1892. Where did you find that information at? You're welcome to email me at howell.co.thompson @ hotmail.com
