Yes, it's vol 22 put 1. In Heaths report he mentions the flag taken at Battery D in same report so he documented the flag taken from Hawthorne. This is stated after discussing the capture of the Missourians and their colors outside Ft Curtis. They were captured in much the same way as Hawthorne and Bell's troops, cut off and had the choice of running through deadly fire or just giving up. Hope someone turns something up. I know the Union generals don't have the flag count correct they report either. They typically state two, but we know 3 were taken at Battery D alone.
