Co A, Perkin's Battalion, Commissioned as Capt.

Married Mary Dickson, 23 Dec 1858. She died 1 Oct 1875 at Arrow Rock, Saline County, Missouri, buried Arrow Rock Cemetery.
They had three children: George (b Apr 1859/60 d 5 Oct 1958), Nettie (b 10 Jun 1867 d 3 Oct 1951), Alexander B (b 24 Apr 1870 d 10 Jan 1941) Checking Missouri Death Certificates on kids all list Y A Purcell as father so it appears he survived the the war. Nettie was born in Mexico, Audrain Co as well as George. Alexander appears to have been born in Saline County. None of the children ever married and lived from 1900 with their maternal uncle in Saline County.

This makes me wonder if he had raised a group of men as of late 1861, free lanced for a bit and hitched up with Porter, August 1862
Obviously a bunch of different name spellings for the same guy in the records to make it all a bit more obscure.
