Don't give up too quick! You have to remember that Livingston operated under several different commands during the war, some were MSG units like the 11th Mo Volunteer Cav and others under CSA organizations. Just take a while to dig through the permutations. Livingston was rich well respected in the SW MO area and his unit remnants after he was killed sometimes carried his name unofficially simply out of respect. I'll keep kicking rocks on it.
