See, that's what I'm not sure about. Here is the confusion...

I know the widow of John F. Shepherd got an approved pension for his Missouri service in Collins battery. That's all the pension says...Collins Battery. I have tried to find John F. Shepherd in Missouri batteries and artillery, but to no avail. When I looked up Collins battery online, I found mention of Collins with Joseph Bledsoe. When I looked for Shepherd in any Joseph Bledsoe company, I found nothing.

The reason I am looking so hard for this is to see if Shepherd's residence is listed on the military cards and if it is Clay County, Missouri. Thus, I don't know if the Clay county man you listed is him or not.
