Been researching payment of war claims by the U. S. Treasury to Missouri in "Sacred Debts" by Kyle S. Sinisi. In an obscure mention Missouri received $475,198.13 in 1905 with a note that the money would remain in the MO. Treasury til Mo. Congress passes legislation defining how the money was to be used. Here is where I have been blocked. Possibly this was covered in a Legislative Journal that i do not have acess to or reported in a Jefferson City newspaper. Anyway does anyone know the answer as to what happened to these monies.
