Bob, there is an article in the St. Louis Globe-Democrat July 6, 1907, p3, "War Claim Apportioned" that says $475k received from the Federal Government has been allocated in equal amounts to each county for road projects. Don't know if that is the same allocation you are referring to. There are also several articles about Missouri seeking a third installment of war claims.
