Just because he wasn't on the posted roster for Co I does not mean he was not in the unit. Rosters were fluid. Usually the roster posted on a website is for the original unit mustered. Men came and went throughout the war.

To be sure I suggest that you order his records from the MDAH. You can do that on this site.

As a part of the High Pressure Brigade, the 41st Miss. fought at Shiloh, TN April 5-6, Munfordville,KY Sept 14-17 and at Murfreesborough, TN Dec 31,1862 through Jan. 3, 1863.
