C. C. Jackson rang a bell to me for some reason, There is a C. C. Jackson in the 7th Miss Cav. Perhaps someone sent me a grave listing thing he was 7th Infantry, I can't remember.

Anyway I did want you to notice that the CWS&S may have your ancestor listed incorrectly in Co. I, 40th Miss. It may be worth checking into.
