Linda,
Many members of my family served the CSA with pride and honor. Several died in the service of the CSA. I have only found one who was a prisoner at Point Lookout, and as you said he survived.

I have done a bit of research on prisons and they were harsh to the extreme. I'm not so sure that I have any hard feelings for those men who were prisoners and took the oath. These fellows proudly served the CSA but only had the misfortune of being captured, perhaps we should not judge them so harshly.

I mean walk a mile in their shoes.
