No I do not. But if I found one, he would certainly be welcome.
In central Arkansas, it was strong for the Confederacy. The Union folks were up in northern Arkansas for the most part.
But something you may find interesting is that my great grandfather who was with the 5th Tenn.CSA settled in England, Arkansas around the turn of the last century.
Every Sunday morning, he would sit on the front row by the local postmaster who had come to Arkansas with Gen. Steele. These two men sat side by side in the Baptist church and sang off key together since niether could hear very well, this old CSA foot soldier and the former Union officer.
For the most part, when the war ended, the war ended.
I know this story to be true because my great aunt who lived to be nearly 103 wrote it down as one of her memories of her childhood.
