Received this from MDAH yesterday---

"Mr. Purvis:

As William Thompson has noted, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History does not have any funding for the purchase of State Historical Markers; in this case, even if we did, I suspect we would not be able to use any funds for a marker to be erected in Louisiana, even though it involves a Mississippi unit. However, I would certainly think that the Mississippi Division of the SCV would be interested in making a donation. Have you contacted them?
