I appreaciate the warm Mississippi welcome and wishes! I am not born of Mississippi, but my reenacting regiment representing your fine state, has brought me such a strong interest in learning as much as possible about it, that I feel that I am from there in a previous life or something..lol.
I want to portray and represent the brave soldiers from Mississippi to the best that I possibly can!

The link to the unit that you posted, is a unit that I am familiar with, as they used to be a part of our company and branched to form company F. A good group of guys in the same region and I will contact them with any correct information I get regarding the uniforms so that both companies can be on the same page. The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pa. where your link takes me to, is only 8 minutes from my home, and it is a wonderful museum if anyone should ever get the chance to visit it. Newly constructed just years ago, and filled with some fascinating displays and memorbilia and artifacts, I would reccomend it to anyone interested in the Civil War. I will probably give the museum itself a call to see if they can give me any insight as well. I truly appreciate your efforts in trying to direct me to my quest for verification on the uniform of the 42nd Mississippi, and I wish you well from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania from a Yankee born/Confederate Mississippi at heart sympathiser!...LOL
