The Confederate dead at Chickamauga were buried in Mareietta, Georgia. Not all bodies were recorded and some were lost to the river near the cemetery. My grandfather Richard B. Pittman of the 7th Miss was also KIA at Chickamauga, the location of his body is unknown.
