Re: Company "F" 34th regiment Ms Infantry

George, I am confused. Using Fold3 (old Footnote) I find William C. Gullick in the 34th Mississippi with a completely different set of cards. They all date from 1862 and 1863. Here are the highlights...

Roll dated March & April 1862
Present, Commutation due from September 17, 1862 to october 8, 1862

Roll dated September & October 1862
Absent, Sent to Hospital Harrodsburg, Kentucky

Roll dated November & December 1862
Absent, left at Hospital Harrodsburg, Kentucky

Roll dated January & February 1863
Absent, left in Hospital at Bardstown, Kentucky October 4, 1862 by order of regimental surgeon

Also, can you tell me what exactly "Cummutation Due" means. I hope I am reading the word "Commutation" correctly? I don't see him listed in the Mississippi Confederate graves registry. Maybe we can find something online.
