Wow, Jim. I can't thank you enough! That's about as close to "conclusive" evidence as you can get. Eliza is found on the 1900 census living with her daughter, Mary and Mary's husband, James Q. Hunter, in Benton County. I'd say that just about nails it! I have ordered the widows pension as you suggested, and am confident that it will yield a good bit more than I now know. By the way, I am a charter member of SCV Camp #580, Decatur Sons of Liberty in Decatur, AL. I am currently inactive - living on the west coast. Thanks again, Rick
