I thought I would learn more information on the 42nd than I had found when I read the battle names
and where they surrendered/ were captured.

I have been working on a poster to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War here in
Arkansas. My poster has men from my county-Lonoke which is central Arkansas.
I have Andrew Park, 42nd Miss; W.R. McCrary, 43rd Miss.; Wm. S. Herron, 7th Tenn Cav. and
my own ancestor, J. D. Pearce, 8th Arkansas, all of whom were Confederates.
They all had varied experiences with their service and I actually know some of their descendants.
Looks like I could write a whole story on Park's experiences alone.
