Appreciate the post re; McPhails, and Mack Ward. Know the Jacob McPhail cemetery well as one of ggrandpa Jasper "Q" Wards grandson took me over there in March and toured the cemetery and old home places. Under stand that Jasper Ward and Mary Jane Dyess Ward are buried there also in unmarked graves. My grandfather Wm Oscar Ward is buried there. Mack was KIA at Chickamagua TN. State Archives note he is most likely in an unmarked grave near the battlefield. Have looked at other Confederate Cemeteries and no "Mack", or M.W.Ward listed. Have also attended Ebenezer Church and reviewed the Church Minutes. Did you attend the Dyess reunion in Carson, MS May 5, 2012? Make a trip to Monticello MS Tuesday but nothing discovered. Would have thought someone would have make a notation or record about Mack.Contact me at billw479@hotmail.com if you don't mind.
